I think BGII is the best game that I have ever played. Mainly because it has Imoen and Viconia and Nalia in it. ( [img]tongue.gif[/img] Warhammer). We are now playing IWDII, which is better than IWD IMHO, though harder)., and we have re-created Imoen and Viconia, down to the BGII portraits (Thanks to Micah Foehammer). Piestrider has Nalia in his game.

In BG2 it's not quite so bad - at least it tries to give you reasons you have to do other quests first. But, realistically, a D&D party would more likely infiltrate or attack the Cowled Wizards - likely via the government district buildings - than simply say, "Oh well, sucks for Imoen. Hey, let's go kill stuff for money."
