Level drain

Ok im stupid i didnt realize what level drain was till i got smeared and lost 6 lvls which pretty much makes your main character a walking death sentence. How do i get rid of it .. and negative plain protection the only way to protect against it? i have gone a fair way through hoping it would wear off but it hasnt. needless to say 16hp makes you weak when i could have 91hp (what i had before). Please help.

To cure it, try scrolls of restoration, which can be purchased at most temples in the game. As for protection, if your character is not a single class thief or fighter, then he/she can wear the amulet of power(meaning even for my fighter/mage can wear this amulet), which you get from Aran Linvail in Chp 3 of the game. That'll protect you from the annoying level drain....

Kael, that's a good strategy when you're marooned somewhere and can't get to a temple and have no restoration scrolls. Kind of kills off the romance though (no pun intended)

The spell Negative Plane Protection will protect you from level drain which can be VERY crippling.
