MY Eric Johnson story... I went to the SteamBoat on 6th street (Years ago) to watch a local Blues/Rock band called the Headhunters. After the first set, the lead singer walks back onto the stage, and announces that they were asked to cancel the rest of the show.

We were FURIOUS!!!! I mean, we had paid FIVE DOLLARS for cover!!!

The crowd was starting to grumble, then roar, when EJ walks on the stage, alone with his Strat...

"I've got a new CD coming out. I'd like to try some new stuff." he says, and starts to play what we later learned to be SRV...

Venus Isle... what a great disc. and I heard it LIVE, before release...

I LOVE AUSTIN, TX

You all suck!! I have been dying to see Eric Johnson. I guess I need to move to Texas.

I missed it too!
E.J. was in CA earlier this year (like in January) playing The House of Blues and recording for an online video at hob.com.

Its a tease LOL...lots of still shots from the show which would probably be best viewed in Netscape and you don't literally get to see his fingers leave trails down the neck of his guitar like you can actually seeing him live but at least you get to hear more than you get in a downloaded sample online.

Keep an eye on the entertainment section of your news paper and listen to local stations for news regarding his next tour or check these sites regularly like I am going to LOL:

Eric Johnson dot com

The Eric Johnson Website
^That one has Eric Johnson's instructional video for our more talented board members!

Favored Nations Entertainment

Within Favored Nations is a link that shows you all the local stations that feature artist news. (Click on "E-team" and scroll down, there is a paragraph "Take Back The Radio" with the link in it).

Keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us that the next show does not go through unseen!

Moni
