For a quick look at the Wayback Machine, see the topic
http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/...d.php?t=101818
To use it you activate the link:
http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html
and then type in the web address.
Wayback Machine is not a Google-style search engine, rather it accesses its own database of stored web pages. Database goes back to about 1996. Access to sites can be blocked by the privacy script Robots.txt, this is most annoying and it happened with Alz' site Darkslayers.com.
On the FRUA forum we thought a program was "gone forever", but we were able to resurrect it by use of Wayback!

This link still works:

http://planet.io/_archive/web_deep6/

The "Grab Bag" icon on the menu takes to some of the odd goodies.

Smiley Re: Editor and Mod for W & W

Any new resources are always welcome for W&W, glad to see the link still works.

An editor for W&W is mentioned in the Grab Bag on Alz' page. That is interesting because someone enquired about modding W&W a while ago. At that time I replied that my decryption of the game files was not all that great, hence modding would be impossible. But if Alz still has an editor then all that has changed overnight.

I tried the Alz' link above and got a 404 Not Found error.

Did anyone download it before it went down?

Fendris's Editor seems to be 404ed. I will draw up a spreadsheet that shows the traits and so on. Fredric's editor does not show the traits. In the game itself, there are of course only the first ten listed in the given PC's Skills page.

I will decrypt the PC records as best I can. Anyone, who has better programming skills than I, can use my data to write a new editor.
Currently there is only space to display 20 of the 32 Skills. It is even worse with the Traits, there are 66 of them and only 10 are displayed.
