First off, I know that this belongs in Movies, TV, etc. forum, but there's nobody there. I don't want to discuss the show, just know it's name.

I'm in the middle of typing a paper for graduate class, and I can't remember the name of a TV show I used to watch as a kid. I tried calling Mom at work, but she was out to lunch. Help

There was a show in the 1970's that was about a pair of Air Force guys who used to go around the country investigating UFO sitings. The show had something to do with Project Blue Book, but other than that I'm at a loss.

Does any of this ring a bell?

Project Blue Book ran for one and one-half seasons, 1978-1979. Aired on NBC. Starred Jake Gatlin and Caskey Swaim. Swain was replaced in the second season by Edward Winter.

The show had consistently good ratings and NBC never actually explained just why it pulled a popular show in mid-season. Some have suggested that in eh second season the show began to show far to many investigations into “unknown” or potentially real sighting encounters as compared to the number of fraudulent encounters for the governments comfort.

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

Mods can now move this to Movies if you want.

Thanks again.
