Well... actually they are the Kookaburras
Yeah, I meant Kookaburras... stuff!! Thanks Aelia. The Kangaroos are the Rugby League team.

So we have the:

Kookaburras - Hockey
Hockeyroos - Womens Hockey
Socceroos - Football
Kangaroos - Rugby League
Wallabies - Rugby Union

What else is there? Any Emus? Wombats? Fat-arsed Wombats? Koalas? Platypuses? Goannas? Cockatoos? Quokkas? Cicadas? Jumbucks? Jolly Jumbucks? Funnelwebs? Brown snakes? Blue-ringed octopii? Thylacines? Dingos? Wiggeties?

I know we have the Waratas. Oh what an inspiringly fearful name a FLOWER is.

Hmm well there's the Matildas (women's soccer). I always think of a big kangaroo when I hear Matildas ever since the Commonwealth games in Brisbane (even though I was just a nipper then )!

Can't think of any more... what about the netball team? LOL we're caning all over NZ in terms of team names though - I discovered in the olympics that their women's basketball team are the Tall Ferns....
