Can the bladesinger in the severed hand be killed??
If I attack and hit him he is wounded very fast, but he cannot be killed. Do I need any special damage (cold, acid....)???? |

If you mean Larrel (who uses the Heartstone Gem for you), it's impossible to kill him, maybe for the same reason that NPCs can talk to invisible ppl (plot advancement?)

No walkyrja I donīt mean Larrel. I mean a big phantom guy that is in the last level before the towers of the severed hand, the one that tells you about his history. He is outside the shop, saying things. Sorry, I canīt explain it further cause I havenīt played for a long time and I have the spanish version of the game. Maybe Iīll take a look again and write here.
Thanks anyway ! |

I know EXACTLY who you mean. I tried to kill him last night, and after doing nearly 6000 pts damage to him, and his character description saying "nearly dead" for FOREVER, I stopped keeping track. I'm POSITIVE I did WELL over 10,000 pts damage to him, and he still wouldn't die. I even rested, came back, it still said he was almost dead, and he just wouldn't die. You must not be able to kill him.

Yeah rouver thatīs what Iīm talking about. I used 6 warriors with Bhaalīs sword, oil of speed and potions of strenght 24 and he NEVER died. I left the computer with my warriors hitting him at a rate of about 200 damage every 5-10 seconds (itīs true I swear) and returned after half an hour and still he was alive. A friend has told me that happens exactly the same with Larrel.

I can't believe that he's important. He doesn't know where Larrel is, and all he does is stand there. I would think you would be allowed to kill anyone in the tower that is in that freaky 'undead' phase...just to put them out of their misery. I personally don't want to...I just started hitting him to see if I could kill him (out of curiousity) and how many exp points you would get.

There are a number of unkillable characters in Icewind Dale, a lot more than are really needed. The Bladesinger, Larral himself, even characters that are not that important to the plot. I even tried cheating to kill Larral, I had him at near death for about 5 mins of real time and used about 10 PWK scrolls on him. He is unkillable.
