We will probably never know with 100% certainty how life came to be. The best that scientist could do is to create a plausble well-supported model for it; "we believe this is how it happened and here's the evidence and data to support it".
Knowing exactly how it happened would require a time machine and an awful alot of time to monitor every sqaure inch on the planet under a couple of hundreds of millions of years. Otherwise we might miss the event. This, of course, assumes that life even emerged on this planet, and wasn't created by space aliens or God or whatever.
