The first sea off Brimloch Roon (the Enchanted Sea) should be free of treasure. There is some, however, in the Lost Sea.

At least two spots in the Lost Sea area, IIRC. A certain someone's treasure, and another lone treasure chest.
I do like to swim below the water in that area because thanks to the unique breed of kelp and algae in the Enchanted and Lost Seas, you can see as clearly as day when you're under water, no matter how dark it is above the water

...and of course, when your head is below water, it's easier to see in order to get your ballance while shark or crab surfing (the sport, or art, of standing on their backs and gently foating downward whie fighting)

I still think the Spirit Eye spell is an easier way of detecting treasure, though.

Sure! you'll see a white dot on your map on the surface of the water where any object is. Just go there and dive!

It will also detect enemies, IIRC; unfortunately, they're just small red dots, and are often hard to see.
A very useful tool... especially if you've dropped something (or set it down), and don't remember exactly where... *edit* forgot to mention that it shows other things too... like levers, switches, and the like. Can be quite handy, your first time in a new dungeon [ 12-05-2004, 12:35 AM: Message edited by: Bungleau ]

and I've spent an inordinate amount of time chasing down white dots that turn out to be nothing more than white specks on the map
