Go to your new W&W game directory and find the exe program that launches the game - RIGHT CLICK and choose PROPERTIES -
A window will pop up telling you about this file
Click the COMPATABILITY tab
One of your options on that screen is to run the program in compatibility mode!
Radek recommends Win95. I played the game on a Win98 machine with no problems.

w2000 has only the w95 compatibility layer. Naturally, w98 layer would be better.
Turning on the layer. It is not supported by default and it won't be offered by the properties sheet. Turning on the layer:

1. Start "Run" from the Start menu
2. Type (supposing c: is the partition, where you have installed w2000 and 'winnt' is the directory of w2000 - update if neccessary):

regsvr32 c:\winnt\appatch\slayerui.dll

3. Restart the computer.

Now, each properties sheet will offer a checkbox with the w95 compatibility layer. Check the checkbox for deep6.exe in your W&W directory.
