For those of you who might recall my problems hearing NPC's talking. I finally figured out and fixed the problem! YEAH!! The old audio software was the problem, and it wasn't completely uninstalled which created a conflict between the old and new software. I completely removed the old software, and viola!! Talking NPC's!

It's too bad I finished my 1st playthrough deaf, but I'm goin' through with a new, HEARING group this time around! WOO HOOOO!!!

You know, I can hear people outside of town when they speak but as soon as I get into town to talk to a blacksmith or the majic shop guy
Its like their mouths are moving but nothings coming out. Thank the
heavens though that I can read.

Yes, D*one. I've been made to understand that that is the case for everyone. It appears to be some sort of MUTE-ation with the people in the towns of the Gael Serran. They can gesture, but they can't speak. And when you're with Sebastio, that's not such a bad thing!

Well, I thought that it was possible to hear the towns people
due to the fact that when I went "down here at the pawn shoppe",
I could get fractions of the words that the guy would say and hear
background noise....was it the games way of just teasing me???
It's not nice to tease someone too much he he he.Ü

I had posted this topic on another board, and one of the reponses was that no one hears the NPC's in the town's shops. I hear the background noises too, and I had assumed that I should be hearing them speak also.

Perhaps some of our distinguished associates will reveal their experiences of the local townsfolk?

Dr. Pick

Do you think, perhaps, they would indulge us, maybe even delight us in the knowledge of what the real story behind it is???

Oh, only one could hope so much as to wish, wait and ponder.

I'd really love to hear the voice of the blacksmith. It would be cool if after he finished talking he would grunt or burped or something due to: working on forging a new metal sword, or he finished eating lunch.....

one could only imagine....

oooh and for a second thought that if he did eat,

you'd see like bones of one of those mongrols(ek, forgot spelling)here and a head laying over there and the teeth hanging up in the majic shoppe becuase the guy wanted to use it in a ritual or something. Maybe its a secret ingredient to a spell or potion.

ok I need to stop, I am totally running away with this idea.

But just in case your reading this D.W. just a few suggestions

Peace.Ü
