Gidday,

i can't decide wether to start my eventual Samurai of as a Warrior or Wizard, ie, Warr - barb - Sam or Wiz-barb(or warlock)-Sam.

Any opinions would be great
cheers

It depends alot on who else is in your party and what skills/triats you want or need.

I personally like to give everyone a turn at barbarian...It builds hit points. I also like to get everyone into as many guilds as possible...as soon as possible. Rogues and wizards, only have access to the wizards guild, until they reach Ishad N'ha. (then they can join the Theives guild.)

You might also want to look at the chart...ROLE ASCENSION BY CLASS...on page 3 of the BEST TIPS thread.

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

In my games, 'most everyone gets to be a samurai (as well as a ninja). The end game usually has a zenmaster, valkyrie, assassin, and the remaining three are either samurai or ninja. And most other classes have been covered for at least ten or so levels.

I would move warriors to barbarian immediately (if not sooner). The benefit to hit points starts right away, and you can get the traps and locks skill, too. There's no benefit to staying as a warrior.

Wizards I would leave until they've got their top-level spells; at that point, you can move them wherever. I like barbarian for hitpoints, ranger for vine and fletchery, and paladin for spirit. Then warlock for a while, and finally either ninja or samurai to end the game.

I think your war-bar-sam is too short. You will find that you need to change roles more times to get as many skills as you can. You can benefit by joining as many guilds as you can. War-bar is a very good start because it gets your hitpoints high, but you might like to include roles like bard to join the wizards guild & paladin to join the priest guild.
