Since it's my home state I thought I'ld maybe give some suggestions. Not like they'll be needed. Also I'ld be interested in your perspective of the area. If you haven't already been warned, it's (the Boise-Nampa area) on the edge of the high desert. It will probably seem very dry to you. When I lived there I always thought the area was green. After living in MN for a couple of years I now find the area brown. However, the mountains are beautiful and I dearly miss the state. You'll also notice far more conifers than you are used to and few desiduous trees. But somehow I don't think you're going for that sort of scenery. Have him take you to the Sandbar in Marsing for dinner. It's a little hole in the wall but the food used to be excelent and the ambiance is quaint-rustic. If you have a chance go see the Sawtooth Mountains from the far end (that is the far end from the mountains)of Redfish Lake as the morning mist rises. It's breath taking!

I hope you get a chance to see some of the scenery, but somehow I doubt you'll leave Nampa.
