This game was obviously designed for parties; there's just too much XP to prevent any solo from becoming an avatar.

I either go with parties, or with a seriously handicapped solo. Or handicapped parties, for that matter

Looks like another unimplemented feature.

I just finished a solo Pixie game, and she was ALWAYS in the red. At one point she was carrying just over six times her capacity, having found some cool plate armors.

No difference. Still hit every time, parried most times, and moved like lightning.

Grrr... tried posting this earlier, but the board timed out on me

Mr Creosote, you could consider a boutique game. You could try a handicap match, where you're only allowed to equiped cursed items.

You could also try a naked match, where you're not allowed to equip anything.

You might also take your pixie and roll up a party of six of 'em. Divide that XP by 6, and the promotions don't come anywhere near as fast...

Or use the character editor to give yourself a peasant party -- all characters with zero stats, zero gold, zero abilities... I played an MM game that way, and it was quite challenging for a long time

*grins imagining Aleph_null1's overloaded pixie swinging a sword around in battle... *
