Okay, i just got myself Norton Antivirus 2003. Everything was going pretty well, it's pretty stable with my system and it really give me a confident feeling towards my computer when it comes to virus protections. But i can't help and notice that my recycle bin also turned into the "Norton Protected Recycle Bin"?!? It basically recycles as a normal recycle bin will do, except it also features another function called "empty norton protected files"? Does this feature really deletes all the files protected by the antivirus program (ie. the win system files and stuffs like that)? Cause now it's got like ~1300 files protected and i risk not to empty them. Please, will anyone tell me what are those files and how much space will they occupy if i don't delete them...

I didn't buy 2003 but I do have 2002. I empty the 'protected' bin daily. BTWyou can rcover any deleted file during that session. Best I can do for you.

Those files aren't the files protected by Norton Anti-Virus, they are temporary files that norton protrects from accidental deletion in case you might want to open one of them later. I have never had any problem purging these files ...and I have been using Norton since before it was a Windows Product
