Well I'm not sure about his name... Garic isn't it? I found hin in temple. He is hot for a lady who is hot for the gnome who gives him the poems.
Is there any plot there?

Other then going back to watch what Garrick is going to do next there is nothing you can actually do, but its amusing none the less. I suppose you could say it has a plot. Its a bit of an easter egg for those who went through bg1 (Garrick was a Bard who you could invite into your party who was found in Beregost)

I thought it was hilarious, myself! A good bit of humor for those who remember Garrick from BG1, not to mention a great twist on the Cyrano de Bergerac story.
I for one was glad they put cameo appearances of NPC's in the game from BG1 who didn't make it to BG2, so you got to see what happened to them. These included: Xzar and Montaron Ajantis (but that one was sad; he's one of the knights at Windspear) Coran and Safana Garrick Carbos and Shank (and I wonder who resurrected the little street hoods?) Faldorn Tiax Quayle Dradeel (for those who had the ToSC add-on) Ones I would have liked to see reappear were: Branwen Kivan Eldoth and Skie (I would have loved a cameo in which she murdered him! ) Yeslick Alora (I guess Mazzy took the position of token female halfling!) Kaigan (who, I suppose, was supplanted by Korgan in BG2. Similar names, hm...possibly related?) Personally, I wish Coran would have been available as an NPC in BG2. Great fighter-thief, especially with that 20 dex! Kivan would have been a great NPC, as well as Branwen. Branwen would at least have given us a chance at a cleric outside of Anomen who wasn't evil (for those of us playing good-neutral parties). Oh well! -Sazerac [ 10-09-2002, 10:09 AM: Message edited by: Sazerac ]

Having NPCs from bg1 is excellent, especially so when they are involved in funny incidences. I like how Tiax is (spoiler??) found
in the Asylum (Tiax Rules All!), he cracks me up every time. Branwen and Xan are in the tutorial but that doesnt really count. Thinking of bg1 reminds me of how there were heaps of mages (Xan, Xzar, Dynahier, Edwin, Quayle(cleric/mage)), enough to fill a party full of mages with every type and alignment. Its sad that there are so few NPCs (i loved having such a big choice of NPCs), but with the decrease in quantity comes quality. Quote:

I would like to see Shar-Teel
The Darkest Day actually includes Kagain, Shar-Teel, Kivan , Xzar & Montaron and Yeslick. (I don't like TDD anyway.)
