this is my third time (first in singel player), this is my current party:

Artea Silverheart (fighter/mage/cleric)
Jan
Viconia
Minsc
Jaheira
last space is open at the moment, though i'm thinking of dumping Jaheira so i get more exp to my main guy. but one spot is open so that i can pick up NPC:s for there quests

First time i went with Ertai (halfelf sorceror), Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Yoshimo (Imoen) and Edwin. It was a magic-strong party, especially in the end, and I liked so much to throw 3 abi-dalzims at the time !!! My sorceror became very powerful with the staff of the magi and the cloak of reflection.

Now Im playing with Daegurth (evil elf, fighter/thief) and Korgan, Viconia and Edwin. Working pretty fine, I already have the 2 strongholds, I steal everything I want so I have LOTS of money... I like being evil !!!

Deadblow - Fighter.
Minsc - Mad Ranger.
Nalia - Uppercrust Mage.
Aerie - Wingless Mage.
Jaheira - Fighter/Druid.
Imoen - Useless Tart.

If plan A goes according to plan then Yoshimo should be back in my party soon and the tart can go.
If not then...oooerr...I aint got a plan B...oops.

ehm i got a new party (again)

True Necromancer (Cleric/Necromancer only gets necromatic cleric spells and 3 mem per level at dualclassing to Mage can olny learn necromatic alteration and evocation spells)

Kaimage (Kensai dualled at L9 to mage)
Serpentmage (Conjurer cannot learn divination spells, has inate ability to shapeshift to Dragon)
Holy Ranger (Ranger dualled to Cleric)
ShadowMage (assassin dualled to mage)
Blade (Blade)

hope this will finaly work
i only ned the inate ability to shapeshift to a dragon

As for that shapeshifting, I've created a spell that polymorphs to dragons...
Problem with polymorphing, you only gain the avatar and the stats, if I remember right: You don't get the weapons, natural attacks, etc...
Plus you can LOSE some abilities.

Anavail (Fighter/Mage/Cleric, 21/19/23)
Jaheira,
Aerie.

So far, dual-wielding defender of easthaven and flail of ages has been entertaining.
