Buy KoTOR for PC instead. Cheaper than buying a new Xbox.

Xbox have DRE problem like PS2 does? Anyway, call Xbox support and tell them to fix it.

I've had the same problem with my XBOX and Gotham Racing. Worked fine for a few months then won't even load in the XBOX any more.

The CD works fine on my mates XBOX but won't load on mine.

The only thing an Xbox is useful for is running Xbox Linux

I've got a cluster of five Xboxes running here -- there is no cheaper supercomputer...

Ilander, I dunno if you can bust an xbox open with a screw driver. Let me check
-well I didn't see any screws, so I'm guessing no, there must be a special tool.
Yeah I work at Gamestop and we sell those CD lenscleaner kits. That might work.

To open an Xbox you must pierce the tape that covers the screwholes. Feel around on the bottom of the Xbox where the tape is and you will find them. Be warned- once you crack the case Microsoft wont help you at all, though they only give a 90 day warranty on a new system anyway so it is unlikely you will get any help from them if you got the system 2nd hand.

Anyway, if you dont want to crack the case I would use a vacumn cleaner w/hose to get the dirt out. Open the CD tray and put the hose right up to it. This works well if you have a shop-vac or a powerful vacumn device. If you do crack the case be sure to use a lint-free cloth to do any cleaning.

Worst case scenario-you can trade in an defective xbox towards a new one. We give around $50.00 at my Gamestop.

Good Luck!
