I don't see any difference in typing it or not typing those apostrophes. as long as I or other people understand what I'm typing then its okay.

Or I could say: Thats the hole point. Their there to make understanding possible. The second phrase is goobledook and takes longer to interpret. Correct spelling/punctuation shows consideration to other members, and that you care whether they can understand you or not. |

Try punctuating this:
Woman without her man is nothing Men write: Quote:

I get REALLY pedantic about your and you're. Had a small chuckle on the bus coming back from school the other day; There was an advertisement for a local builder's firm and it went: Quote:

But how do people understand what you meant? Can they read your mind to determine what you really meant?
Working with computers for a long time, I'm still looking for one that does what I want, not what I told it to do. Haven't found it yet.... but I'm still looking. About the closest is ones that ask you to clarify what you're saying.

Oh, and to muddy the waters slightly... let me offer you a fill-up at the gas or petrol station with a complimentary car wash. Fuel is $10, car wash is $6. How much are you going to pay me?
And for the record, the correct punctuation above is: Ann, while Bob had had "had", had had "had had". "Had had" had had a better effect on the teacher.
