After playing this game for a considerable number of year, I'm still suprised by the replay value.

Different classes, kits, characters to start...

But on two recent replays I stumbled across things that really suprised me.

1) The 'hidden' area in the Harper Hold with the Harper amulet. Wow. Can't believe I missed that the first... 10 or so times?

2) The secret area in Firkraag's dungeon with THE jewel. This is the first time I've ever found it, and I'm glad because it wasnt in my characters (Lawful Good) nature to run around attacking random chickens.

In this thread, I'd like you to state reasons why (if any) you keep coming back to BG2 and what new discoveries you've made.

If you are a veteran(that meaning you finished BG2 a few times) you can use a walkthrough to find out if you missed something out.

there is a guy standing to the right of the chickens (not the guy that owns them. the one you want is further right). he offers you information on a quest. give him what he wants and he will tell you about the chickens. then talk to the farmer, there are responses for a lawful good character to get the jewel.

Hey... I dont mean to sound like a wanker or anything... But maybe a Spoiler tag is necessary here? I wasnt expecting to get spoiled in this thread... but I was. I had no idea about the Harper Hold hidden area.

OH well. Just a thought.

When you go down to Firkraags dungeon, go N-W and then W (on the same map) and you`ll see a pond with a Beljuril gem and other neat stuff in there.
