show off!

In the foul darkness one figure will emerge to save the world from evil and despair.... Light flashes as his sword comes down, and thunder rolls through the sky when he points his sword up to heaven to signal his victory....People whisper his name as he walks by, evil tries to hide as they sense his presence nearby.... His name? Link......

Exactly the same as you there Billikins the Bold, you can also do the *unofficial* expansion "Dark Side of the Sword coast" http://www.dsotsc.com/index1.shtml to make your character even more powerful as there are a couple of tomes available within this add on. The choice is yours. The sites worth a plug too, it's a top site http://www.teambg.com/

You might also have re-imported your char to Baldurs gate after finishing it...

DSotSC takes off the xp cap doesn't it? I played it for a while, but it made the rest of BG way too easy. Probably be good to import into BG2 though.

Sure, it might, I'm not too sure. Personally I remove the XP cap anyway but that's my way, it's what I like. I'm not suggesting you guys use it right now or necessarily with ToB on mind. It's just a nice BG1 add on and something you may like to play some day.

Actually, I've started to realise just how much fun BG1 was: you know, that was when 400 exp points really meant something, not just the reward for picking a lock!

Cue Monty Python parody...

Fear? I know not the meaning of the word. And you can keep that dictionary away from me!

I still think the XP cap was too low (and always removed it from BG1 and BG2), and DSotSC was excellent, but I jumped in too early, picked up one of the NPCs and walked through the rest. Except Durlag's Tower...

You're right - low experience games seem more fun. When it's a challenge to kill a couple of Kobolds you get a thrill from it. In BG2 I've killed a demi-lich and some dragons. Levelling up doesn't mean quite as much...

Yes, I kind of agree on the XP cap thing. I can't help but feel it's a slightly flawed system. The XP cap is fairly easily attainable even with a maximum of six in the party at all times. It's difficult to know how to overcome the problems I guess. Still I agree, I think it's way too low for such a big game.
