I didn't want to call it an American thing, so I called it regional. "Practice" is both the noun and the verb over here.

And my take on whether the question mark belongs inside the quotation marks or not depends on what it relates to. Since it's not part of the quoted statement, I believe it belongs outside.

That's certainly up for debate by the more illustrious students of the language, though... [img]smile.gif[/img]
