Secret of the Sphinx?

Howdy,

O.K. Sphinx.....I answered the first question then the dink asks me another one..thought answer was Kerra, but apparentely not...he proceeded to spell my behind back to the dark ages. Can I just waste him? and is there anything that seems to work better than others...he seems pretty tough (or I'm just a whimp.)

Thanks All!!! Also, I'm thinking of getting Icewind Dale after completing this game (tried BGII, but it kept on crashing...hoping won't have same issue with Icewind Dale,) anyone play this game through and think it's worth getting?

Try "Kerah" (spelling) and then "Anephas" for the last question.

If you saved before meeting him my answers were: death (have heard others say ice), Anacephus and Kerah. You can kill him (people say they have done it. . . i didn't) but he put me six feet under right away.

I guess there are different answ. to the same question...I typed in "shadow" for the first one and it worked ....thanks for the info....will try those.

I think perhaps there are different questions - I can't remember whether I answered shadow or ice now - have seen so many other responses that I can't remember what failed for me. He tried to fry me, so I terminated him with extreme prejudice. He was worth lots of XP, and no ill efects that have been documented.

There are definitely different questions. Generally, if you saved after meeting him but before answering questions, any reloads at that point will ask the same questions. But if your save was much earlier, he may ask different ones, or if you play with different characters. And I think he also varies how many -- the first time, I only got two questions; the second time, three.
