Well, I like to moan! The journey could have been worse - at least I got home. I normally enjoy flying, but today I was nervous and kept imagining all sorts of things - I couldn't even enjoy the beautiful clouds.

No pictures of the storm, as I don't have a tripod or the remote cable thingywhatsit to keep the shutter open without wobbling the camera! But hopefully I will have plenty of other pics - I love mountains!

Hope you had a great time in Italy! It is fabulous, isn't it... the food (licks chops hungrily....) I lived in Naples for quite a while - ate lots!!

BTW, did you get my reply to your post to me, just before you left? I only saw it when it was halfway down p. 3 - so wasn't being unfriendly, just didn't spot it.

Welcome back, Epona !

Your return trip really sounds like a horror experience, but your holidays seem to have been really splendid. I like the Italian Alpes very much, have been there a couple of times myself: on a couple of skiing trips back in the eighties and once for a wonderful hiking trip through the Dolomites in 1998 (two of my photos on Stealthy's site were taken on that trip).
