It is said however that if you get the vampire ring it stops the hit point drain. Make sure the patch is installed as equiping it caused the game to crash before the patch.
Perhaps someone who is a vampire with the ring can confirm this is true. |

The vampire ring gives regeneration, which approx. counters the hp drain. Another item with regen. might do the same !? (D'Soto's chain mail e.g., or a blessed dragon plate mail.)
(I'm just pretending I know anything about it, because I have been a vampire only for a very short time, just before restoring.) |
