What's your biggest disappointment regarding Wizardry 8?

I'm not trying to denigrate the game. It's one of my favorite games of all time. But there were things I was hoping for that didn't happen. I think everybody must have something they wanted and didn't get.

My biggest disappointment: I SO wanted to recruit a Rattkin.

Maybe I should try to find Wizards and Warriors. Although I don't think it works in XP

my biggest disappointment was all the stuff they couldn't finish before they had to quit.

I had no problems with unfinished quests, because IMO in a "real" gameworld there must be something you don't need or can't do.

My biggest disappointment is, that you cannot enter some areas ( especially underwater areas ). When I first found the scuba gear, I immidiatly ran to the monastery to dive into that unaccessable water area. Result:

The fact the game isn't moddable. It's an excellent game as it is, and my favourite of the genre, but I just love modding games, I feel it adds a lot to them.

Best thing was killin the Dark Savant after soo many years of waiting (like 10 years since Crusaders?)

Worst thing is the fact that there will be no more Wizardry *cry*
and maybe that there is no second Boomerang Shuriken for my Ninja's Offhand..

Definitely for me was a "Hall of Gorrors" ype location as in W6 and W7.
Kept me going for years in W7 trying to kill two Beasts of 1000 Eyes on Expert.

Hmm.. actually, come to think of it, the fact that you can't continue playing the game after it ends. It's only a minor thing though, it doesn't ruin that game at all.

I was disappointed with the limits and finality of the game, which basically means... GIVE ME MORE! So I guess I'm only sorry that there isn't more of it, since it's so darn good. With so many games of this genre delving into mods, multiplayer, expansions etc., I can't help wishing Wiz8 was one of them. [sighs]

Multiplayer I couldn't care less about, but mods and expansions are always good IMO.

Agree with Scatter: all those unfinished mysterious things in the game. It would have made Wiz 8 longer, thus more playing time and more to do. Once you know your way around, the game is too short.
