Dialogue is running too fast

Since installing Storm of Zehir and updating, I've consistently been getting this problem - so far, I've only witnessed it in the MotB campaign, though I suppose it could exist elsewhere. Whenever I enter a dialogue cutscene, the same thing happens - the sound for the dialogue doesn't play and the actual text proceeds too quickly to read.

I haven't found anything pertaining to this elsewhere so far. Any ideas?

It's a common bug, going to be fixed soon according to the devs.

That said, it's not been happening to everyone. Are you sure you emptied your override folders before installing SoZ?

I had no idea that I should, so I did not. That said, though, my override folder seems to be empty anyway, so I don't know if it's relevant.

Good to hear the developers are on it - I guess I'll just pick up whatever fix they create. Thanks.

Yeah well, guess you can't count on games being totally bugfree nowadays, now can you.

EDIT: the hotfix is available!
