I am starting a huge VERY exciting role playing thread based in a Kara-Tor like place. This is about love, adventuring, justice and betrale. I'll need 10+ characters to take part and COMMIT to the story.

You must play your alignment (which can change very much) in the game.
I will mail you secretly to reveal what you should do generally.
I will have the characters soon and you can pick which one you want...

It sounds good to me, but two things make me change my mind:

"I will mail you secretly to reveal what you should do generally.
I will have the characters soon and you can pick which one you want..."

So..... We can't make our own characters and you partially control our actions?

As much as I would like to, I will have to decline, because I am so tied up in the One-eyed wolf story. I don't think I can place my attention on two separate stories. I will view your RPG to see how well it runs and maybe join in when you have a second campaign.
