Even if it DID matter to me, I'd not hold anything against the child. Keep in mind that a baby has no say in what he or she is named, so if the little Osamas grow up and become cancer researchers or dairy farmers without a hostile bone in their bodies, the name won't mean a thing. If an adult were to change HIS name now, then I'd be sure it was political in origin.

I´m with Cloudy. Another comparison, perhaps not accurate but still, is the use of English first names in the US. All people named with English names must be anti-US right? They still must sympathize with the US being a English colony. Let them name their children to whatever they want. If we start to judge people by names, I would be judged as a bad singer and lousy actress.

LOL Well Bardan, i was trying to think in NBA terms, but it's hard to find Scandinavian people there. And i don't think the average American family names their son Mats. Btw, another one just popped into my head: Mats Wilander, a former Swedish tennisplayer (he never hockeyed... i think).

Not even close. It´s even worse than that. I won´t say anymore though.

Edit: Leonis, Britney?!?! LLAO! You have got to be kidding! Now can we please stop guessing my name? Only visitors of the W&W forum have the right to know that information.

Name your children whatever you want to, just because there was a serial killer named jon doesnt mean parents shouldn't be allowed to name their kids jon. thats ridiculous. I hope it is overturned in germany and they are allowed to name their child what they want.

Believe it or not, there are still people who name their son Adolf.
Adolf....... - my grandfather (born 1915) was named Adolf - after WW2 he went by his middle name (Friedrich)

And Deathkiller - Mads is a common Danish name (the 'd' is silent)

A name is just a name, not a judging of the person. If I were to name a kid 'Saddam' or 'Hitler' or 'Stalin', that doesn't mean that they will become evil dictators. 'Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover'.

Yes but what if you call your child "The Beast" or "Lucifer"?
