See topic. I am getting tired of the "easy" solo classes-Sorcerer, Cavalier, F/T. I am looking for something different; challenging, yet fun. I would try a darter, but nobody answers my questions, and the damage doesnt seem to cut it. Any suggestions? Im willing to try anything (and by anything I mean anything )

A Wizard or Sorceror without using Timestop or Improved Alacrity.

I would try soloing any pure fighter or fighter kit with tactics mod on insane. I am just starting this, and it is much more difficult than soloing a magic user.

How about a Jester? The song fits well with soloing, since you won't have any allies anyway. You'll still get some spells, but not the high level ones typically used to win tough battles. Plus, wouldn't it be funny to take down Irenicus with a Jester?

Why not CLUA in a cursed ring of weakness/fumbling?

That should make the game a little more challenging

Try as a Rincewind charcter. A wizard who can't cast ANY spells at all.
Or a Wizard Slayer; can't use magical items apart from weapons and armour so that means goodbye Boots of Speed, Ring of Gaxx and Belt of Inertial Barrier

What sort of challenge are we talking about here? Is it a pain-in-the-ass challenge, or rather a something-that-won't-make-soloing-so-easy challenge?

If the first, try a Beast Master. You will experience that it is tough to go through BG2 with only a warrior who can't use metal weapons or metal armour.

If the second, try a pure Bard. You will have rogue-abilities, some spells, and stamina. It may seem easy, but the thing is the the Bard doesn't perfect in any of these, he simply has them.

I'm not sure if wisdom affects wild mage wild surge rolls, but if it does, play a wild mage with very low wisdom - you'll never know what spell you'll cast. To add to the fun, never cast chaos shield.

Fighting goblines?

Oops, gated in a pit fiend!

Fighting a pit fiend?

Oops, COW!
