First of all, what language version of NWN are you using? I've heard that the extra violence option was taken out of some of the European releases (specifically German, although maybe some others as well), so this little trick will not work with those versions.

Make sure you edited "NwNplayer.ini" and NOT "NwN.ini".

Double check to make sure you that you made the correct changes to "NwNplayer.ini": change "Memory Level=1" to "Memory Level=2", and change "Memory Access=1" to "Memory Access=2".
