supports adaptation within a species. I still haven't seen one thing become another. Still haven't seen any lizard-cats. I mean, unless you count the Avatar: the Last Airbender TV series. But let's face it, that's a cartoon.

Nah, it's always been my experience that birds make birds, lizards make lizards, snakes make snakes, fish make fish, bovines make bovines, dogs make dogs, cats make cats, etc.
It's the idea that according to evolutionary theory (perhaps outdated now? the version I'm thinking of I mean) over many generations algae became fish became amphibeans became lizards became birds. But I mean, if everyone's just gonna be a jerk about the issue, then maybe it's best left off the table.
