from one comp to another, they are not networked. ( Small enough for floppy or do I need to burn a cd? )

Thanks to the maven that answers this.

you can get one game one per floppy. there 800k each.

under your bg2 dir you will find a dir called save. it contains many folders named with the name of your save + a number. grab each one and put it on a floppy.

on your new machine do the same in reverse.

im not sure if this applies to BG, but sometimes you need to create a "save" dir if there are no saves on the second machine.

p.s. whats a maven?

Actually, my experience is that they aren't all the same size, but either way...

If you have a burner and many saves to move it's easier to burn a CD. CD's are cheap (less than 10 cents each), and if you leave the session open, you'll never have to worry about transferring those game again because you can just keep adding saves to the disk up to it's capacity(this is what I do). If you don't want to keep them, you could burn them to a Re-Writable.

With more than 5 saves to transfer, it's probably quicker to burn a CD.

In BG and BG2 the save-folder is created after you create your char and start the game. If you have a fresh installed BG2, you will have to create a save-folder.
Probably it is easiest just to burn the complete savefolder on CD and then put in in the BG-folder on the second computer.
