I used to love going trick or treating when I was a kid.
I know, there is a myth that we don't do Hallowe'en in Britain BUT WE DO!!! But we would only dress up as witches or ghosts, not ballerinas/aliens etc. etc.

I used to love dressing up as a witch and going to Hallowe'en parties. We did apple-bobbing and other games. Because I lived in the middle of no-where the trick or treat thing was relatively small-scale operation. We never had to resort to tricks though, everyone was very generous with sweets.

And now I always buy a big box of sweets for the trick or treaters that call at my door on hallowe'en (because contrary to popular opinion WE DO HALLOWE'EN HERE)

Isn't making others afraid what Halloween is all about?
Or was it the candy?
