This week, we are featuring the assassin.

Check out the second picture, where the dude is standing there and the thief is giving him a side-glance. That looks chill!

Roll on, June 25th!
Oh and yes, when you install SOU the gamespy server you log on to will be the SOU one...everyone else will be left behind if they don't have it. For a time there will be a greatly reduced number of people playing online i'd imagine.

Since there are at least 4 expansions planned for this game (depending on how the first 2 are received) maybe he may decide to make a 'NWN: The Expansions' forum, cuz if a forum was designated to each expansion can you imagine what a waste of space that'd be, considering the slow traffic passing through here as it is?
Don't you play online? It's great. And a lot of work has been done in the modding community.

As far as Ironworks being slow... I've noticed that as well. Some people have left for reasons of their own. Others are on hiatus because there isn't anything "out there" right now...

Yeah I noticed that, Jedimaster.

DraconisRex....course I play online, that's why I said the servers will then be re-routed for SOU.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the improved storyline they promised us. If this one is as bad as the first, I may not be buying the second expansion. The new Prestige classes are cool as well, though I don't think this new EP adds as much as it should have.. maximum level is still 20, no new subraces, only five new 'classes'. Basicly, you just get the prestige classes and three new tilesets. I hope the price (I think its $29.99 - which is around 25 Euro these days) will mirror the contents.

I probably sound more negative then I intended, because I am looking forward to this. What characters will you be playing? I'm considering a Sylvan Elf Ranger(lvl10)/Shadowdancer(lvl10). Does anyone think I should switch from Ranger to Rogue to get the Sneak Attack ability?

I was unaware that they promised us a better story, so yeah! As for what PC to try out...I am thinking about the assassin or the one with the special arrow-firing ability. Can't remember now what that one is. Ranger class? Oh well. I am only thinking about it. Right now, I have a dwarf fetish, and don't intend to be persuaded otherwise for a little while more.

Dreamer you are right in your skepticism IMHO. Beware the rant .

The early blueprint for this expansion was well, cheap. Very little was offered to begin with until they revised the contents due to 'fan-outrage'.
I still think SOU is kinda cheap..just another mod really with some new material that really if bioware didn't release, would have been called a hakpak. I am most certainly looking forward to the (limited amount of) new spells, feats, classes but this is more out of a need to see something new and different after playing this game to death.

I mean come on people, how many of you really wished to the heavens-on-high that they'd make female Giants?! Certainly the Beholder would be a better choice...these being classic D&D creatures and all but no, there it is on the SOU site advertising 'Female Giants' like it's something we really care about. What next, female Umber-Hulks? Please, who cares about sexuality a giant is a giant!
Oh and no cloaks or robes for casters...and none planned in the second expansion either (this is D&D for gods sake!). The way it seems to work is they make their OC mod and give us the tools to make variants of that OC and for some reason they needed those female Giants in that story...oh well.

Basically there does not seem to be anything included here that the NWN's community actually *NEEDS* other than maybe..petrification (?).
But that said, I will buy it...like a sheep to the slaughter I have no choice but to jump on the train or be left behind while Bioware taunt us with news of 'upcoming expansions' that carry...nothing, in an effort to make a quick buck from a loyal fanbase.

Here is the link to the GameSpy interview that you couldnot find in your other post that is locked so I could not post it there. http://www.gamespy.com/interviews/may03/trentdarcy/ I like your posting of it better it is easier to read then skipping through the pages but they do have pictures.

I found the link on Futuremark's site.
