Mages wear elven chain? ( spoiler ? )

I heard that its possible for normal class mages to wear elven chain and still cast spells is this true ? if so where is it possible to get first elven chain?

1.It's impossible for pure class mages or druids to wear elven chain whil it is possible for any multi or dual class mage or druid to wear it. And yes you can cast spells wearing it.

2. Aran Linvail has elven chain, you can find a really sweet one in Chapter 7

yes you could, although why bother? Cast spirit armor, its almost as good (if not better) Then you can wear a mage robe (robe of vecna anyone?) [img]smile.gif[/img]

::shrugs:: You could also wait till the end of the Underdark and hang around the exit and help protect the elves... The drow who come out are all equipped with elven chain and longswords +2... So many that it's not even worth carrying them all.

Look at that. Ignoring elven mail and +2 weapons... And in BG1 I was scurrying to pick up halbreds to sell them for 14 gp each, and a +1 weapon was a godsend

Wait till you enter ToB. You will start ignoring +3 enchanted weapons... I would literally kill to have those kind of weapons in BG1 or IWD.
