I was just wondering what sort of class you would like to see be made and included into BG2?

For some reason I cannot get past the idea of a Cleric of Mask. Normal cleric spells and abilities, plus detect traps twice per day and a limited amount to spend on thief skills. I am just trying to figure out how to roleplay a cleric of a thief god must remember to try that out in the RP section sometime.

Or maybe a Paladin of Mask?

I still have the Cleric of Eilistraee on the back burner... It's something I want to see eventually.

Out of curiosity what sort of powers would a cleric of Eilistraee have? (My knowledge of D&D gods is limited)

No idea Shadowhound but for your original question, well....I would love to see some sort of Undead creature, as in beinrg able to play a Vampire, or skeleton. Strange, but would be very interesting for roleplaying, maybe not so much in BG2, but it would still be good, also wouldnt mind bieng a non-human race like in morrowind.

couple of poorly developed thoughts . . .

Trader

It wouldn't take too much effort I don't reckon - fighter kit with a nerfed XP table and equipment restrictions so they stay well behind the power curve - a bit of jiggling about with the buy/sell prices in stores - a few extra encounters and you can join the merchantile elite of Amn as you attempt to raise, say, 300K GP to buy your big house in the government district - something like that anyway - you wouldn't so much have a party as a team of caravan guards

Hunter

Modify all the 'animal' files to drop pelts - practically an archer kit already i guess although you wouldn't need to be 'good' - oh yeh, you'd get snares, maybe they'd only work outdoors though or you'd get a set snares penalty indoors

Kind of off topic.
But you havent played a game called DragonRealms before have you?
Just there is a trader guild and an ability which your required to skin creatures you kill.

As for kits, I read a kit somewhere which I quite liked. Something about a ranger growing up in the wild, and being part animal. Also rangers being able to have companions would be cool (like in NWN)

That would be the Feralan kit, and is currently being discussed as part of Unfinished Business. I doubt they'll implement it for the PC, though, as the notion of a Feralan growing up in Candlekeep is ridiculous, to say the least--the fact that you can be a Chaotic Evil Barbarian is bad enough. It's more likely that the kit will find its way into the game through a new NPC, though of course that is far outside the aegis of Unfinished Business.

Beast Masters can cast Find Familiar. Oooo, boy, I sure do want to play a Beast Master now.
