Question for you guys - do you think that we should have a new forum for Throne of Bhaal?
Any discussion about ToB will probably contain spoilers about BG2. Currently I'm allowing ToB discussion here in the BG2 forum as long as people put a Throne of Bhaal Spoiler warning on the title of their post and spoiler spaces before any BG2 spoiler information. As ToB gets closer to release people are going to want to talk about it more and more. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to have another forum, just for Throne of Bhaal. What do you guys think? ------------------ |

Nah, just lump the expansion together with the original BG2 forum (like the IWD forum). As long as everyone post TOB on the topic and TOB SPOILERS warning I think it should be fine.

I personlly think it would be a waste, thinking about it, because even if you had a separate page for just ToB, you know many posts that belong there will show up here, regardless of how many times you indicate the need of separation. Just keep it a rule on the BGII page to be expansion specific in their title threads. It is the best we can hope for.

Well, I think it sure be your cal big guy since more than likely it will mean a little more work for you (as if you weren't busy enough already!) I feel as long as people post a spoiler warning, the current forum should suffice!!!
I can hardly wait for ToB I've seen screenshots and they blew me away! |

If ToB discussion becomes as common as SoA discussion, then perhaps a new Forum should be opened. Of course, right now, there doesn't seem to be a need for a new one for ToB as long as (like Mem said) everyone make sure to put a brief ToB warning on their thread

You know...Bristowe has a point...the amount of traffic through here is bad enough, as I personally like to have all the most recent posts all on one page.
If we added ToB here, we might find ourselves with so many posts at once, that we will be bouncing back and forth through 3 pages of new material to cover. And that is more work, I say (IMHO), than having two separate locations. Hmmmm... it seems that I am conflicting with myself as I see the good and bad in both situations. My final word...IF you are going to moderate for BGII and ToB, You should do it the way Youfeel is most manageable. (I am sure you have already reached that conclusion though, yet I needed to sound it out for the invocation of opinion by others...) ------------------ Larry, Sell-Sword to the OHF |

I don´t think Tob is large enough to have its own forum (`only´ 30-50 hours).
And after all, its just an extension of Bg2. |

I'm leaning towards having the one forum though - I don't want BG2 to get fragmented. I just want to make sure people are CAREFUL when they are posting about ToB that they make it clear in the title of their posts. ------------------ |

I think for the most part, everyone can easily abide by the rules...of course every once in a while, a greeny will make an accident, that can be overlooked, but very rarely will you have malicious posters who want to show thier a**, just to draw a crowd to themselves. You'll be alright, and we "frequent flyers" can lend a hand in policing the area.
