Hopefully Earth won't be swalloed by a black hole. And if fate dictates it hopefully I'll die of old age first. If fate dictates I'll be alive during the time then Hopefully we would have spaceships that can take us real real faraway!

If a star were similarly destroyed at the center of the Milky Way, it would generate an X-ray burst 50,000 times brighter than any other X-ray source in the galaxy.

Our solar system is about 25,000 light-years from the galactic center. So a stellar tidal disruption there would not pose any danger to Earth, the scientists said.
You have nothing to worry about, even if something like this did occur, we won't be around to see it happen. It's an interesting article, I didn't know there would be an explosion as a result of those two colliding, as not even light can escape the force of a black hole.

Yeah, dont worry Sythe, this stuff wont happen for thousands if not millions of years. And if you feel small, well, there's all sorts of solutions for that. I hear this new herbal viagra is pretty good

The article goes on to state that the black hole the Milky Way borders on is relatively quiet and that this sort of activity in our solar system is unlikely.
