without the blank spaces that is.

A thread for all of who you out there who have been wondering for weeks but have been too embarrassed to ask - just like I had been. But thanks to Mrs Virginia, powerposter extraordinaire, I have finally become an insider, too.

Thanks, Milady !

So long,

Ramon

Glad to be of help Mr. Cologne! I guess you must have noticed a lot of recent smiley inquires as I did. Ertai, most Adept Wizard, gave me the info, then I passed it on, now you've got the ball and are passing it, and so on and so on!

Yes, Milady, passing on the ball is indeed the basic idea behind this thread.

May I explain why I rather not use your official boardname ?

Firstly, "Zecke" in German is a bloodsucking
little insect that is feared for transmitting meningitis, a tick in English as "babylon" tells me. For sure, nothing I would ever want
to associate with you, Milady.

Secondly, and even worse, "Zecke" is also the
inhumane "nickname" that neofascistic youth groups have for any youth they consider to be "left" like punks, etc.. Once in a while these groups like to engage in something they call "Zeckenjagd", "tick hunt" : they seek out someone that fits their definition of a "Zecke", then chase him down and beat him up
(usually up to a point that their victim needs to hospitalized if not worse). Of course, they only do that if there is not anybody around who is even easier to victimize like ethnic minorities, homeless, handicapped ... .

Sorry to depress you !

It almost 2 a.m. here, I am off to bed.

So long,

Ramon

Ramon: FYI I personally call her LadyWendy instead of Ladyzekke. Wendy 'cause its her name, and Lady 'cause she is one.

EEK Ramon! I had no idea that my name made you think of all those horrible things! Please know that the history of my nickname is in no relation to bloodsucking, nor neofascistic youth groups or their victims. Just a silly nickname that used to rhyme with an old boyfriend of mine. Please, from now on, call me LadyWendy, as many on this board do. When we finally get a new Board, I will most likely change it to that anyway. Sleep well, friend

Sounds like a good deal Ramon!

StealthB - could you explain that in a little more detail? I've been to tgeweb, but got lost at that point. I did enjoy seeing a picture of our webmaster, Ziroc, though!
