You can get a sprained wrist from using the mouse too much - 'carpal tunnel syndrome' I think it's called. Report to sickbay at once! (Sorry, too much Star Trek recently )

you know... I was discussing that subject with a friend and I came to a conclusion that that is just a new term for doctors to use so they could supply drugs that we don't really need....
I used the old-fashioned methods and a suggestion from a friend:
use the ice-pack on the wrist for 10 minutes and soak it in (bearable) hot water for another 10 minutes. did it three times a day.
to reduce the pressure, keep your hand in the heart-level position (upright)

Aw, Sorry you sprained your wrist!
I sprained my thumb changing the bed sheets a couple of days ago, duh!
I go for old fashioned remedies too. Ice for a fresh sprain and heat as it heals if it remains swollen.
Wrap it and don't use it for three days and it should be good to go. (This coming from an experienced wrist, hand, and ankle sprainer LOL and the orders of a great Dr. AND my dad who wrapped quite a few sprained ankles on his little girl )

Anyway, hope you feel better!
Hugs!
Moni
