I think it might be fun to see what kind of system people use. I'll start with myself:

128MB RAM

I just built it last August, and saved a lot of money doing it myself, that's for sure. I will never buy from a computer manufacturer again.

Go to www.pcmech.com when you need a new computer, they have a pretty good step-by-step guide to making your own and the cost savings are enormous.

Well, I wish I waited...I bought my GF3 in january and the GF4 came out in march.
Next time I'll read the video hardware articles in more detail.
The GF3's will be coming down to rock-bottom prices pretty soon.
