Famous Last Words of Wizardy Parties...

Hi all,

Someone started this thread over at the RPG Vault, which was surprising since 99.9% of the posts there aren't worth reading or responding to. BTW, I'm proud to say I've been a member there for one year this month, and I only have three posts to my name, counting the one today! Ok, I'll stop with that, this was really fun so I thought I'd share it here.

So, please think of some of your own, this was a real hoot and made me remember a lot of fun days with the various Wizardry Games.

Here are mine and a few more I thought up:

Famous Last Words: (I really remember these...*sigh*)

Wizardy 1

1. "Hmm, 'Monster Allocation Center', oooh, I'm so scared! I'll kick their allocated butts without breaking a sweat. My characters are level 9 and nothing's beaten them yet!"

2. "Wait, where is the "Trebor resurrects you" part of the game? Whattya mean I have to find my first party's bodies! Goddamn that stupid Allocation Center."

3. "Whew, another one of those pits and my party will be dead for sure. Ok, I'll try this way, there CAN'T be any pits over...AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

4. "What do you mean my level has been drained? How do I get it back? Oh, Malor out of battle and keep the experience you say? Ok, we'll teleport right out of here into...SOLID ROCK! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

4. "Will o the Wisp? Ah, its just a fancy looking Disco Ball with lights. Its not like they are hard to hit or anything. Swish! Swish! Swipe! Hmm, maybe they can't hit you either! THUMP! SMACK! Ouch!"

5. "Ha ha ha! Get a load of that stupid looking goon in the clown suit. How tough could a midget called "Flack" be?

Wizardry 5

1. "My god, critcal hits, level drain @#$@#$#@, its just a dumb looking teapot! And stop laughing at me you stupid Kettle!"

2. "No sweat, my swimming skill is high enough. Let me just go a little deeper now....*blub* *blub* *croak*!"

3. "Who farted? And stop that "Hurkle" noise you keep making. Its not like you're a big hairy monster that likes to eat people. Oh shi...!"

Wizardry 6

1. "Ha ha ha, Don Juan Luvpuppy, these graves are a riot! Let's just look at this one over here, these stupid ghosts that keep coming out are all easy to kill, this one will be a pushover too!"

2. "Hey look, I found if you go through this gate here and run around in circles, some really high level monsters come out. I'm sure I can take em!"

Wizardy 7/Gold

1. "Heh, I'll just turn the difficulty all the way up on this last Gorror. Taking on two of those sissy Beasts with 1000 eyes can't be all that hard, can it?" (hint: YES!)

2. "Fiend from 9 Worlds. Paugh, he's just a wimpy looking little rat. How tough can he be?"

3. "Phht! Jonga Powder, what is this hippie incense crap? Toss it, we'll never need it."

4. "No, don't get that awesome looking Light Sword, get the Cobaltine Power Glove, yeah, its just like the one that sexy Vi Domina had!"

Wizardry 2

"I'm level 14, how hard can a Poison Giant be?"

"The KOTD sword? How hard could it be?"

"They're only Gloves, they can't be anything compared to that Sword!"

"With all of this KOTD stuff, I can take Malevolents by myself!"

"Ha, come now you little fuzz balls, I can take you! (then after very long battle using many spells) WHAT, NO EXPERIENCE?!?!?!?!"

Wizardry I -
I remember now, a room that low-level parties happen upon with a couple of ninjas in it..... )))) Staring at my tiny computer screen and wondering what exactly does "decapitated" mean!!??!

....or how 'bout finding an exceedingly rare "Dagger of Thieves"? Woohoo! NOW I can turn my thief into a bad-assed one-man killing machine Ninja!

"Dragons aren't so tough!"

Wizardry 1:
"Whew! I'm almost out! I need to camp badly. Good thing I made this map! It's 100% accurate!" (After hitting one of the dreaded "spinner" rooms)

Wizardry 8:
"Nessie, huh? No problem! I'll just sneak around her..." *splat*
one reload later...
"Ok. Nessie can't get me up here in this cave! I'll shoot her full of arrows! Ha-ha!" *splat*
another reload later...
"Well, I bet I can get her if I charge and smack her around! CHARGE!!" *splatsplatsplatsplat*
or my favorite....
"I can disarm that trapped chest! No problem!"
