While saving a game, computer froze. During reboot scandisk, message appeared "Cross-linked files found and repaired". Then when we tried to enter game, message appears "save games incompatible" and computer freezes every time and can't even get game to run! Almost finished game so especially frustrating!! Has this happened to anyone else? Help please anyone!

Sounds as if your computer took a dive *during* a file write, and two files in the FAT (File Allocation Table) reported that they were using the same location on your hard drive, which is impossible. ScanDisk's "repair" corrupted the savegame file, and it is lost. You will need to revert to another recent save. Sorry.

Sorry, I missed some of your post. You will probably need to move all the savegame files out of your C:\Program Files\Activision\WizardsWarriors\save directory. Then, run the game. If the game still does not run, reinstall it.

If it works, then the game itself is ok and you can copy the most recent savegame (by date) back into the \save folder. If it works, you are back in business. If not, take that one out and try the next until one does work. Good luck!

You're wlecome. I know how disheartening losing a saved game can be. Glad it worked.
