They're lonely individuals looking for love in a fictional online world

Seriously though, some people just prefer having a set group of people that they adventure with and play with. Sorta like joining a party in Everquest or Asheron's Call. That way, they have control over tactics, party combinations etc.

I'm going to see how good Neverwinter Nights is before I even consider joining a clan, seeing as how I dont know anyone anyway..

Well he asked for a clan to play multi in the Ininity games so as it could well have been better posted in another forum it does have credence for being posted here

Why join a clan?
A) It's fun
2) To do some organised MP
and to develop your characters (doing a bit of RP)

Mostly, because it's fun

Joining a clan here is nothing serious, you can join ten different ones if you like. The benefits are few, but you'll get a bond with the other members and you can laugh a lot. As for the MP, there are the three 'main clans' Azure mentioned, which are the largest, oldest and most famous by far, but I know that both Keldorn's Order and the Cutpurse beggars intend to have some NWN action, as do the Ranger-Protectors. Other clans are there mostly for fun and social chit-chat, though I think there are other NWN clans as well.
You can join a clan anytime you want, though there is often a simple 'test' to pass first.

There is not enough talk about BGII online to warrent this as a valid entry in the forum.

The General Conversation forum would be a great place to ask these questions, or you could visit the online per-post gaming forum we have now, and read some of the posts.
That will give you an idea of what we are accomplishing, and where we are taking our on-line gaming experiences.
