Hi all,

my solo shapeshifter is having a hard time smashing through certain locks - namely that which leads to Kangaxx. It appears that anything less than a 24 strength will simply not smash this door open. Since druids cannot use strength potions, and have no magical means of opening locks (i.e. knock) I am pretty screwed. The Greater Werewolf has a 21 STR - no use, and my druid is of sufficient level to use the Fire Elemental Transform which grants a 23 STR, but that still isn't enough! Clerics have tank boosting stat spells such as righteous magic and draw upon holy might, but the druid gets diddily squat in this department. Unfortunately, I got every innate spell except draw upon holy might at character creation

Can anyone think of a way I can get this door down? If I could only increase the Fire Elemental Form's strength by one that would do it.

Of course, I could just take a thief into the party and pick the lock open, but of course, that isn't soloing

Ideas welcome

Transforming into the Slayer will do, ay? If you can wait with Kangaxx till chapter 6 that is.

AHHHHHH! I HATE THAT DOOR SO MUCH!
WHY CAN I NOT PAY 500 GOLD AND HAVE A CHIME OF OPENING CUSTOM-MADE BY A WIZARD?! They're NOT complicated.
In fact, I made one myself, using IEEP. If you're not averse to using an item that, while not in the game, would certainly be available to a character in Amn, then let me know and I'll send it to you.
I don't use it for Faldorn, because this time I'm doing pure solo, no custom files of any kind... but if you're not averse to some creative gaming, by all means I'll give you a copy.

Question.

Can summons attack locked doors? If yes, then there's your answer.

You know, it really depends on the day! I never know the rule. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... Is there a hard and set way to do it? Whenever it worked for me, I had to have everyone selected at the same time and run over as a group.

Well. I know this is a solo attempt.

But I wouldn't say it's out of the question in roleplaying terms for a druid to 'hire' a thief to open the lock.

I mean... you're keeping his bank books balanced.

It is based on a percentage chance, as long as you meet the minimum STR requirement, so the first time may not always succeed.

To put it in real life terms, you keep bashing on the door till it gives.

As for the summon I was thinking of... Sunnis, the Earth Elemental Prince. He has fists the size of Bhaalspawns and 24 STR to back them up.
