I'm having Dorna (sp?) as my henchman and having her go cleric all the way.

1) I can tell her to cast a particular spell, which is a change from the OC. Is it that now in SoU everytime I want my henchman to cast something I have to tell him to do so (in the middle of combat?).

2) I can only tell her to cast bless and aid once each. She's level 3 with 15 wis so should have 3 level 1 and 2 level 2 in addition to 4 cantrips. What's with her missing spells. Are those ones she only casts herself in combat? If so how come I never seen her do it?

Did anyone play with Dorna as cleric?

Ok, she does cast spells by herself. She wasted the bless and aid spells when a few puny kobolds attacked. She also cast a healing spell, but I don't know if she's stupid enough to memorize those or if she does use spontaneous casting. She still hasn't cast any cantrip, nor any other spell than bless and aid, and of those she only has one each. So I still don't know what happened to 2 first level spells and 1 second level (did she waste them as a healing spell, or did she memorize somthing else and cast healing spontaneously).

I really liked how they improved henchmen in SoU. The interactions and the ability to change inventory were great. But the way they cast spells still could use lots of improvement. I could use more control over what they memorize and how they cast it.

My advice: look for the henchman *.hak file (or *.exe) file by Tony K (I think). It will give you infinitely more power when it comes to henchman management.
