What does everyone think about all the crazy signings!

NHL is driving itself into the ground. But that’s another argument.

Detroit's looking good with Hasek! I think that’s been the biggest move.
+ they picked up Robitaille...he will take the place of the lost Kozlov.

Mogilny in Toronto! As a Canucks fan I have some issues with this.

Yashin and Peca with the Islanders! That’s a big move! Real Big!

Roenick to Philly!

Calgary has made some moves that will hopefully improve the
team…hopefully not at the expense of division rival Canucks

To bad losing Weight for the Oilers! That sucks!

Colorado looking real good signing all the key names!

What else!

Lapointe…ugh that salary is an outrage…but it was offered to him by
a team…can’t blame him for signing.

Man…what about the Canucks though? Can’t believe they gave up
on Essenssa..

Devils haven’t made any moves.

Ottawa with the good draft of Spezza! Chara’s pretty good too.

Yeah...Heh!
Hull's pretty cocky...says he'll sign for
a real small amount if Jagrs there...he said the
same about signing with Pittsburgh.

Detroit definately looks like a team to reckon with this year. Hasek will strengthen an already pretty good goaltending team. Robitaille adds more scoring punch to a pretty impressive, although aging offense.

Colorado will be a strong contender again this year, after locking up their big guns.

My poor Oilers feel the sting of a small market budget yet again. Losing Weight will hurt them, as he has turned into one of the best play making centers in the league.

Dallas and St. Louis made some noise with some of their signings. Probably just trying to keep up in the West.

I don't agree with the amount of money that Boston shelled out and the return that they got. I guess that's why I'm not an NHL GM.

Will Philly finally move Lindros, or will Clarke let him sit and rot for another season?

I think that Lindros will most likely sit and rot.
Good says I...Dictating the teams you will play for is BS.
And he's been doing this forever. Clarke is a stubborn s.o.b.
and probably wants Lindros to burn and not play for Canada in the Olympics.

Raffo, I agree totally. I would consider it a privilege to get paid to play a game I love.

Grand Ranger...
yeah Roenick to Philly... He's pretty consistent
and if Cechmenak (sp?) keeps it up the Flyers
will be pretty solid. Never really been a Flyers fan...
The eastern conference is lookin pretty interesting these
days...
The Canucks seem to be sticking to the plan and keeping
the roster pretty close to last years...Barons probably
gone and that sucks cause he's a good defenceman. And there
is a serious issue to address in the net.

That Hockey Manager game at the site ogopogo recommended is
so cool! I've been playing it for a couple day's now and
am very impressed. VB app that's tied to a database of players,
stats, scouts, drafts, teams, farm teams... It's awesome! Simulate
the season keeping the players happy and under contracts, keeping
the budget balanced, choose the type of training you want a player
to work on. Wow...the guy that made that has put a lot of
time and energy into it.
