I'm back to the game after playing it when it came out.

Been soloing a char, took him up to lev 9 in useful professions, and then as soon as I got Assassin's blade switched to Assassin.
Just arrived at Cet and am at Lev 97. I recall there is a fair bit of heavyweight killing in Cet so I guess there are quite a few more levels to come.
No cheats, gold cheat, char editors or anything, just playing it "vanilla". I'm playing a Quick Learner char to get the extra experience points. I havent sat around waiting for monsters to spawn, just played the game as it came. Playing on hard throughout (the first few hours of the game were a bit challenging!).

I just wondered if anyone had soloed a char to over level 100, and what the max level you managed to achieve.

I'm enjoying it for the char development, but the game now sucks for me in terms of challenge, with 650 hit points, god knows what armour count, and good weapons and spells nothing can damage me and I kill everything pronto. So I am really just playing to see what is the max level I can get to.

I dont think that there is a max level...i have heard stories of people achieving level 990 and still gaining levels...
P.S. the best way of gaining levels (in my opinion) is the scorpion pit in the shrine to Anephas

If you want to go up in levels, after you have completed the game, reset adventures and restart the game, and kill Oakenmir to go up 40 levels. Figuring out to get from Valeia to Oakenmir is quite fun - I've done this in 30 mins game time. Just make sure you have skills on the screen that you can train, otherwise you're stuck...
