At the end of the game, I was left with one seemingly important item (no, not the "rather steamy" love letter) which didn't seem to have served any purpose: the tomb plans. I'm sure that I just missed what I was supposed to do with them, so could anyone help? Thanks!

You give them to Hamrys the coffin maker. You can do this over and over for unlimited experience.

Thanks. Is there a way to "use" them? If you examine them, a "use" button pops up and, if you press it, it tells you that you might have more luck if you tried using them in the tomb itself. I did that, too, but nothing much happened... It just seemed like there would be more to it (especially because of what the paranoid incarnation did).

Sorry, I honestly don't know. There aren't many loose ends in Torment, I gave away my copy of Torment years ago (gotta pass the experience on) and thus am unable to check. None of the walkthroughs I've checked make any mention of using the Tomb plans. Try posting on a Torment forum.

Thanks. I'll try that.

What a great game!

definitely a great game. Especially the ending, where it all sort of comes together, all the weird parts.
Really well written sort of unique in puter games

Torment is the best narrative based RPG there is, however it didn't sell and thus there'll probably never be another like it.

Yeah, I know. Apparently, sales were good in the end but it took a long time for them to warm up, so no one is willing to fund a sequel - it would take too long to get a return on the investment.

Bummer.

ya I believe it was described as a modest success in sales.

I dont think there will ever be another one more because there isnt even a planescape pen and paper game anymore. Atari owns the D and D license for computer games so they could make one but its not too likely.

They're doing a total conversion of the original Planescape Torment game called Planescape Vengeance.
